Columbus Grove has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pandora-Gilboa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Rockets at 4:30 p.m. Columbus Grove will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Columbus Grove turned things around against Perry on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Commodores with a sharp 11-1 victory.

Zoey Patchet was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Breanna Hoffman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Columbus Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Pandora-Gilboa was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 14-2 to Lima Central Catholic. The defeat continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Thunderbirds: they've now lost three in a row.

Pandora-Gilboa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breann Fischer, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Pandora-Gilboa's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Columbus Grove, their win bumped their record up to 4-13.

Everything went Columbus Grove's way against Pandora-Gilboa in their previous meeting back in April of 2018, as Columbus Grove made off with a 19-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
