Soccer Game Preview: Wisconsin Lutheran vs. Pius XI Catholic

Wisconsin Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Pius XI Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home pitch against the Popes at 6:30 p.m. Wisconsin Lutheran will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last.

Wisconsin Lutheran is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over Milwaukee King on Friday. Kaden Jacobs had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Wisconsin Lutheran got from the refs.

Wisconsin Lutheran hit Milwaukee King with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Grant Rossmann (2), Jackson Winn (2), and Philip Hau.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Pius XI Catholic's offense. They lost 4-0 to Franklin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Pius XI Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Franklin are ranked 19th).

Pius XI Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-3. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
