Basketball Recap: Carnegie Drops Highest Score of Season Against Grandfield

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carnegie). They walked away with a 51-42 victory over the Grandfield Bearcats on Saturday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

It was another big night for Karlee Tohkofper, who shot 5-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Davis, who posted seven points.

Carnegie was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Carnegie's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Grandfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carnegie beat Grandfield by a score of 51-42 on Monday.
