Softball Recap: Clear Springs Chargers vs. Dawson Eagles        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Clear Springs rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Dawson Eagles  4-3. This was payback for Clear Springs, who suffered  a  6-3  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Jenna Hashaw looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side, Clear Springs' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jalise Martinez, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Mallory Knoeppel, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Clear Springs has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 19 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record  this season. As for Dawson,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 19-8-1.
 Clear Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dawson: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
