Softball Recap: West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars vs. Pleasant Hill Wolves
West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-10 to make it eight. They came up short against the Pleasant Hill Wolves, falling 16-0. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 9-0 to the Wolves when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Pleasant Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3. Considering they have won seven contests by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
For Pleasant Hill's part, Ava Wombles made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched.
