Football Recap: Rockwall Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jack Duckworth and Kaydon Castro + How To Watch

Rockwall was the 42-27 winner over Lewisville when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellowjackets took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmers on Thursday. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaydon Castro and Jack Duckworth certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Castro rushed for 90 yards and one TD, while Duckworth picked up 57 receiving yards and one score.

Don't try to pin the team's loss on the defense: they kept the trenches locked down and allowed a mere 1.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Will Ashworth for the heroic effort on defense: he. Rockwall's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 3.3.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewisville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tre Williams, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Williams is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Landon Bogany was in the mix as well, providing Lewisville with two scores.

Rockwall now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lewisville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Rockwall will head out on the road to square off against North Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. After each having a week off, Lewisville and Marcus will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Farmers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
