Baseball Recap: Boone Takes a Loss

The matchup between Boone and Ballard on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Toreadors fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 13-12. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bombers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in May.

Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Ballard, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boone is set to face off against their familiar foe Bondurant-Farrar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ballard will take on rival Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bombers 3.4, the Wildcats 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
