Soccer Game Preview: Wilson Central vs. Smith County

The Wilson Central Wildcats will take on the Smith County Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wilson Central came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Stewarts Creek, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Smith County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeKalb County. That's two games in a row now that the Owls have lost by exactly two goals.

Wilson Central now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Smith County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Wilson Central took their win against Smith County when the teams last played back in February of 2016 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Wilson Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Smith County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
