Basketball Recap: Crest Ridge Skates Past Windsor with Ease

While Crest Ridge didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to the Windsor Greyhounds for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-21 win. The Cougars pushed the score to 42-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Greyhounds had little chance of recovering from.

Crest Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Laney Wilhite out in front who went 7 for 9 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayley Marten, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.

Crest Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Crest Ridge's win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Crest Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-6 victory against La Monte on the 17th. As for Windsor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-20 loss against Osceola on the 19th.
