Softball Recap: Mineral Wells Comes Up Short

If Mineral Wells was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Burkburnett last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mineral Wells Rams took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brock Eagles on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Mineral Wells' loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Brock, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-0-2 record this season.

Mineral Wells will square off against Brownwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Brownwood's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Brock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stephenville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brock's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Stephenville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
