Basketball Game Preview: Holy Family Academy vs. Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles

Holy Family Academy and Portsmouth Christian Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. Holy Family Academy will head out to challenge the Portsmouth Christian Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Holy Family Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Mascenic Regional. Holy Family Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Portsmouth Christian Academy entered their tilt with Mount Royal Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They breezed by the Knights to the tune of 65-21.

Portsmouth Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Holy Family Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Holy Family Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Portsmouth Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 65-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holy Family Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
