Football Preview: Seagoville Dragons vs. South Oak Cliff Bears
Seagoville hasn't had much luck against South Oak Cliff recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Dragons will face off against the Bears at 7:15 p.m.
On Friday, Seagoville ended up a good deal behind Hillcrest and lost 29-14.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Andrew Hernandez, who threw for 185 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes.

Even if they lost, Seagoville's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Darryl Donahue was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also made six total tackles, which is notable because Seagoville is 2-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-3 otherwise. Diego Ayala-Rojo was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making eight total tackles.
Meanwhile, South Oak Cliff had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Seagoville better keep an eye on Mikail Trotter. He was instrumental in South Oak Cliff's win, rushing for 63 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Trotter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriane Boyd, who rushed for 52 yards and one score.
Seagoville now has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Oak Cliff, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
