Viddiate Clinton commands the offense for Flames win

Recap: Valley Lutheran Flames vs. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners

In what's become a running theme this season, the Valley Lutheran Flames gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 45-19 margin over Phoenix Day School for the Deaf. With Valley Lutheran ahead 31-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Valley Lutheran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Viddiate Clinton out in front who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Hernandez, who scored nine points along with eight steals.

Valley Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-19.

Valley Lutheran will play host again and welcome Mogollon, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mogollon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Tuesday. As for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Antelope at 5:30 p.m. Antelope comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last 14 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
