Decatur's win ends three-game losing streak at home

The Decatur Red Raiders can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Danville by a score of 59-51. That's another feather in the cap for Decatur, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Decatur found their leader in underclassman Jennifer Mitchell, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Mitchell hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Smith, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Decatur's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11. As for Danville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-15.
Decatur will head out on the road to take on the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cullman is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Danville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th.
