Volleyball Recap: Rockwood Summit Beats Parkway West for Their Third Straight Victory

Rockwood Summit entered their tilt with Parkway West on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Longhorns. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Rockwood Summit had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Parkway West's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macyn Tarter, who had 11 digs.

Rockwood Summit's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Parkway West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7-1 record this season.

Rockwood Summit will challenge Oakville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkway West, they will face off against Ursuline Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
