Baseball Recap: Marquette University Takes a Loss

Marquette University and Waukesha West squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Marquette University had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2. The Hilltoppers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Marquette University's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Waukesha West, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Marquette University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waukesha West, they will square off against Muskego on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
