Kenwood waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the South Shore International Tars a 9-0 shutout. Kenwood's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Their offense was hitting South Shore International from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Amelia Berg led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Kenwood's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for South Shore International, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenwood will take on Senn in a tournament on Friday. As for South Shore International, they will take on Carver at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Shore International will be up against Carver's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.75 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
