Volleyball Recap: Jackson Takes a Loss

The Jackson Polar Bears came up short against the Avon Eagles on Saturday and fell 2-0.

While Jackson had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19.

Kate Hofner paced Jackson's offense, picking up six kills. Hofner got some help from Morgan Rosenberry and her 13 assists. Taylor Brownsword controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Avon found their leader in sophomore Ally Brediger, who had 18 digs.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Avon, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Jackson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against GlenOak on the 26th. As for Avon, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against North Ridgeville on the 19th.
