Baseball Recap: Irondequoit Comes Up Short

Irondequoit came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Victor Blue Devils, falling 22-2. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Irondequoit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was Jackson's first of the season.

Irondequoit's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Victor, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Irondequoit will head out on the road to take on Greece Athena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. Victor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
