Baseball Preview: Nickerson Panthers vs. Hesston Swathers

Meanwhile, Hesston came tearing into in Friday's second game's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cardinals 4-3.

Gunnar Lewis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Lewis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
