Basketball Recap: Potter's House Christian Blue Lions vs. Creekside Knights
Potter's House Christian Blue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-44 loss at the hands of the Creekside Knights. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Creekside found their leader in sophomore Nolan Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Derek Rivers, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points and three steals.
Potter's House Christian Blue's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Creekside, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Potter's House Christian Blue didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Southern Coast Academy Regional on the 29th. Creekside has also already played their next game, a 60-56 victory against Episcopal School of Jacksonville on the 31st.
