Palo Alto is 0-3 against Oak Grove since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Palo Alto Vikings will head out to face off against the Oak Grove Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Palo Alto will be strutting in after a victory while Oak Grove will be coming in after a loss.

While Vikings fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They walked away with a 25-13 win over Mountain View on Friday.

Isaiah Phillips went supernova for Palo Alto, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Phillips' longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jake Wang also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Palo Alto's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Isaiah Walker and Jeremiah Fung. Walker's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of Milpitas on Friday.
