Soccer Game Preview: Monroe vs. Clinton

The Monroe Cheesemakers will square off against the Clinton Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for Monroe's offense. They came up short against Delavan-Darien on Monday, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Clinton lost 6-2 to East Troy on Monday. Clinton have struggled against East Troy recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Monroe beat Clinton 3-1 when the teams last played back in June of 2025. Do the Cheesemakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
