Volleyball Game Preview: Mt. Mansfield Cougars vs. Montpelier Solons + How To Watch

The Mt. Mansfield Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Montpelier Solons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Mansfield will be strutting in after a win while Montpelier will be coming in after a defeat.

Mt. Mansfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Burlington, who was ranked second at the time (Mt. Mansfield was ranked third). The Cougars skirted past the Seahorses 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since September 9th.

Mt. Mansfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Montpelier lost 3-0 to Essex on Thursday.

Montpelier's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Mt. Mansfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.

Mt. Mansfield took their victory against Montpelier in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Solons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
