Basketball Recap: Noah Gunter Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Coalfield

Clarkrange proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 27) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Coalfield Yellow Jackets 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since November 29, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clarkrange to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Gunter, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Bryton Swallows, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Clarkrange smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Clarkrange pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Coalfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
