Volleyball Recap: Morris Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Morris waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Ottawa Pirates. This was payback for Morris, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

In the two sets Morris was on fire: they won each by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-12, 25-8.

Alyssa Jepson had a dynamite game, getting 18 digs and seven aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Brooklyn Nigro also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Morris' win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Ottawa, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11-2.

Coming up, Morris will venture away from home to take on Plano at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Ottawa and LaSalle-Peru will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
