Basketball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Iowa Park Hawks

The Jacksboro Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Iowa Park Hawks at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Jacksboro is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 6th on Friday. They lost 44-23 to New Home. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Iowa Park was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 45-30 fall against Bowie. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 265th).

Iowa Park now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Jacksboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Jacksboro came up short against Iowa Park when the teams last played back in February, falling 38-34. Can Jacksboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
