While Monday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Haley McGuire. She wasn't messing around on Monday, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The pitching appearance was her third straight with two or fewer walks.

Looking ahead, McGuire and Frederick Douglass will challenge Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frederick Douglass is a perfect 3-0 against Franklin County going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
