Basketball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Comes Up Short

Incarnate Word Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 4, 2023 on Friday. They took a blow against the Geneva Eagles, falling 81-29. The Angels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-10.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Ryan Walker and Matthew Cory, who each put up six points. Cory also led the team in assists with three.

Incarnate Word Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Geneva, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 28-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing The Christian School at Castle Hills the next time they take the court. Incarnate Word Academy will host The Christian School at Castle Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Geneva will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
