Baseball Game Preview: Oak Hills Highlanders vs. Sycamore Aviators

Oak Hills is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will face off against the Sycamore Aviators at 5:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

While Highlanders fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Saturday's season opener. They blew past Fairborn 17-7 last Saturday. The Highlanders not only won last Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024.

Landen Seifert looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Wil Kraus, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Cooper Harrison, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Sycamore got the win against Monroe on Saturday by a conclusive 14-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Aviators.

Oak Hills took their win against Sycamore in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-4. Does Oak Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sycamore turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
