Softball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Triumphs

Tri-West Hendricks got themselves on the board against Fountain Central on Thursday, but Fountain Central never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Mustangs.

Fountain Central's batters probably weren't too happy with Keira Johnson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (she gave up two walks).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Averi Lance, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Brailey Douglas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Tri-West Hendricks now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Fountain Central, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Tri-West Hendricks will take on Beech Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fountain Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Parke Heritage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
