Softball Game Preview: Clifton Cubs vs. McGregor Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Clifton will face off against McGregor. Clifton will welcome McGregor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clifton has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while McGregor will arrive with nine straight victories.

On Monday, Clifton came up short against McGregor and fell 7-3.

For McGregor's part, the team relied heavily on Isabella Salas, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Seward, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

McGregor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.

Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for McGregor, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
