Lakes is 7-2 against North Chicago since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will face off against the Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. Lakes will be strutting in after a victory while North Chicago will be coming in after a loss.

Lakes is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Round Lake: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Panthers out of the water with a 49-0 final score. That 49 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Ean Ankney was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 236 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one rushing score. Nathan Velez was in the mix as well, providing Lakes with two scores.

Lakes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Porter Cramond and Anthony Perna.

Meanwhile, North Chicago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 62-12 loss at the hands of Antioch. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Sequoits are ranked 98th).

Lakes' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points on average over those games. As for North Chicago, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lakes came up short against North Chicago in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 21-17. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
