Recap: Miramar Patriots vs. Coconut Creek Cougars

This season hasn't been kind to the Miramar Patriots, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were beaten by Coconut Creek 48-12 on Monday. Miramar lost against Coconut Creek in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 1-0 score last time.

Coconut Creek can attribute much of their success to Tessan Parchment, who scored 13 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Parchment grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Abigail Theophile, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Miramar's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.8 points per game. As for Coconut Creek, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miramar will take on Hallandale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Hallandale is ranked 648th, while Miramar is ranked 631st). Coconut Creek will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against South Plantation at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th.
