It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Ipswich ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Amesbury Redhawks 7-6. Seven seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ipswich now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Amesbury, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ipswich will face off against North Reading at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amesbury, they will challenge Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
