Preview: Suwannee Bulldogs vs. Madison County Cowboys
Suwannee is 0-10 against Madison County since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Suwannee Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Madison County Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. Suwannee will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Suwannee strolled past Hamilton County with points to spare, taking the game 39-25. The win was just what Suwannee needed coming off of a 59-35 loss in their prior match.
Shadavia Jones was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Madison County came up short against Lincoln on Saturday and fell 58-49.
Despite the defeat, Madison County got a solid performance out of Janiyah Mcknight, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 36.7% of Madison County's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Ja?niyah Livingston, who scored six points along with two steals.
Suwannee has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Madison County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Things could have been worse for Suwannee, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Madison County when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Suwannee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
