Volleyball Recap: Skyline Has No Trouble Against Bothell/Inglemoor

There's no place like home for Skyline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bothell/Inglemoor Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The contest marked the Spartans' most dominant victory of the season.

Skyline walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Carly Maginnis and Emma Gutke, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Piper Hawryluk and her 30 assists. Maginnis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 5-7-3. As for Bothell/Inglemoor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Skyline will take on North Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bothell/Inglemoor, they will head out to square off against Newport - Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
