Football Recap: Murrieta Mesa Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Murrieta Mesa can now relate to. They lost to the Bishop Amat Lancers on the road by a 28-9 margin on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Rams couldn't push the score so high this time.

Coleman Jones threw for 68 yards on nine of 21 attempts. Keegan Williams was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Nathan Cruz rushed for 31 yards.

Ryan Salcedo was his usual excellent self, rushing for 126 yards and a pair of scores for Bishop Amat. Salcedo also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Lancers are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.
