Meanwhile, Elgin narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Altus 1-0. That's two games straight that Elgin have won by just one goal.

Santa Fe South's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
