Recap: Seminole Seminoles vs. Hagerty Huskies

The Seminole Seminoles lost against the Hagerty Huskies back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Seminole fell 53-40 to Hagerty. Seminole has struggled against Hagerty recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hagerty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylee Kitts led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. Kitts is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Hayes, who scored 20 points along with three steals.

Seminole's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-6. As for Hagerty, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Seminole will head out on the road to challenge Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Howell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Seminole is ranked 124th). As for Hagerty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Mary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Mary knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Hagerty likes a good challenge.
