Volleyball Recap: Frazee Hornets vs. Hawley Nuggets

After flying high against Rothsay on Tuesday, Frazee came back down to earth. The Hornets fell 3-1 to the Hawley Nuggets on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled against the Nuggets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Frazee started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Hawley can attribute much of their success to Hannah Stotts, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs Stotts has posted over her last nine matchups.

Frazee's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Hawley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Looking ahead, Frazee will venture away from home to face off against Mahnomen/Waubun at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hawley, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Concordia Academy on the 19th.
