Softball Recap: Bexley Lions vs. Bishop Ready Silver Knights
Bexley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bishop Ready, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions blew past the Silver Knights 15-5 on Friday. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Claire Watts made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Maddy Thomas was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kyra Duffee also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Bexley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Ready only posted an OBP of .400.
The victory made it two in a row for Bexley and bumps their season record up to 2-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Bishop Ready, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
