Basketball Recap: Bluffton Comes Up Short

Bluffton saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell to the Delta Panthers 47-42. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Panthers are ranked 88th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anna Lohman, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Abbey Todd was another key player, going 7-for-12 to rack up 19 points and three steals.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Delta, their win bumped their record up to 19-2.

Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Paulding will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Delta surely won't give up without a fight.
