Basketball Game Preview: Ashby Arrows vs. Rothsay Tigers

Ashby has gone 9-1 against Rothsay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Ashby Arrows will look to defend their home court against the Rothsay Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ashby is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 71-62 to Underwood.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rothsay). They blew past Battle Lake 65-45 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Rothsay's victory ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Ashby, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Ashby was able to grind out a solid win over Rothsay in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 61-54. Will Ashby repeat their success, or does Rothsay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
