Sasita Unutoa and Alex Fruean secure win for Barrow

Recap: Barrow Whalers vs. Bethel Warriors

The Barrow Whalers won the last time they faced the Bethel Warriors, and things went their way on Saturday too. Barrow came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 63-51. That's two games straight that Barrow has won by exactly 12 points.

Leading Barrow to victory were Sasita Unutoa and Alex Fruean. Unutoa dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Fruean scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Unutoa has scored all season. Uatahouse Tui?fua was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds and five assists.

Barrow's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Bethel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Barrow and the Nanooks will face off on February 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Nome-Beltz will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Bethel, they will square off against the Patriots at TBD on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alaska (North Pole is ranked 64th, while the Warriors are ranked 44th).
