Basketball Recap: Millard North Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Millard North). They really took it to the Bryan Bears for the full four quarters, racking up a 99-27 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Derek Rollins was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Major Mosser, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 15 points.

Millard North was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Keyon Williams and Deon Darnell certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Williams posted eight points, while Darnell earned eight points. Kaleb Kimble also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Millard North pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Bryan, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millard North will square off against Burke at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Millard North is facing Burke at the right time seeing as Burke is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bryan, they will welcome Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
