Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Pensacola likes a good challenge.
L.E.A.D. Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 19-run drubbing they dealt Gulf Pointe Latin on Tuesday. L.E.A.D. Academy never let Gulf Pointe Latin get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Gladiators recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Tristan Randolph made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of L.E.A.D. Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Silas Brown was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Jaxon Greenier was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
L.E.A.D. Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Pensacola came up short against Paxton on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
L.E.A.D. Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pensacola, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. L.E.A.D. Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pensacola struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
