Basketball Recap: Geneva County Takes a Loss

Geneva County and Cottonwood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Geneva County had to settle for second. They fell 43-32 to the Cottonwood Bears. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Geneva County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Cottonwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Geneva County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cottonwood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Providence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Christian will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Cottonwood surely won't give up without a fight.
