Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abilene). They put the hurt on the Cooper Cougars with a sharp 64-39 win on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Cougars are ranked 1138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Abilene and bumps their season record up to 16-14. As for Cooper, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-28.

Abilene has already played their next contest (against Legacy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cooper will host Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
