Football Recap: Mountain House Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sierra + How To Watch

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Mountain House on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-10 win over the Sierra Timberwolves. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mountain House got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Erin Foster out in front who rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 22 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Foster a new career-high in passer rating (127.8). Another rusher making a difference was Jacoby Johnson, who rushed for 111 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain House was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Despite the loss, Sierra still got an impressive performance from Darien East, who rushed for 113 yards and one TD. East's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 113 rushing yards.

Mountain House moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Sierra, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-4.

Mountain House and Sierra could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 573rd) will meet Patterson (ranked 269th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sierra will challenge Manteca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (697 vs. 32).
